Two detectives investigate the murder of a local businessman by a mysterious woman. After a man is murdered, Lt. Westerman (John Hoyt, who co-wrote and produced the film) and Sgt. Bradley (Bob Kelljan) are on the case. They find out that the man was a prowler, and a beautiful woman named Ellen (Arlene Martel) killed him in self-defense. However, certain parts of her story don't seem to add up, plus she's a little...unusual. Bradley becomes enamoured of her and we slowly start to see what has created her messed up life.
